A post in unsuportable reminded me of some mixups and screwups and just plain odd things tht happened or i did when i was a shipper reciever.
*Reminder* I knew how to sort incoming freight. Thats it. When they left me alone to do everything this is all i knew.
Screw Up:
We needed janitorial supplies so they told me to fax the company to send some over. Of course no one knew which company. Ah! I found an adress is our fax log just after the janitorial section. AhA! there is a list of janitorial supplies behind that page! Sweet!
2 weeks later i recieved a call from that company which apparently handles music cd's and dvd for me to stop asking them for toilet paper :/
Fortunatly I managed to find the right company before we ran into buying our own stock to keep the bathrooms working.
Odd thing:
I forget exactly what i needed but i managed to track down a number for some sort of supply issue we where having.
Called first number. Got automated service. Redirected me to another number.
Talked to person at second number, gave me a different number.
Called 3rd number. Person told me to call 4th number.
Called 4th number. Somehow got person at 3rdnumber.
Called 3rd again. Apologizes for giving of wrong number. Gives 5th number.
Called 5th number. Got some random guys answering machine in Ontario. Went home.
Mixup/screwup:
Apparently its not a good thing to have 3 trucks backed up in your loading dock when you have to sort through 1000 magazines and finish everything within 4 hrs.....
As soon as the old shipper reciever realised that college wasnt where he wanted to be he got that job back SO fast.
