It's been a while since I've actually posted anything...sorry. ^^'
Anywho, I still work at Burger King but I had applied to Wendy's recently because my best friend (who's being an absolute ass right now) and her mother wouldn't take no for an answer. They also applied there.
Last Sunday I'd been interviwed and the manager was impressed and she'd asked if I could come for an orientation today. I'd never really wanted to work at that place to begin with and I'd actually had plans to work at Starbucks or somewhere else.
I decided to do my own thing and call Wendy's and tell them I wouldn't be coming today for the orientation. This was around 10 in the morning. The manager was impressed even though I said I wasn't going to be working after all because I had the decency to call hours before the orientation. They were going to pay me $0.75 more than what I'm getting now as my starting pay.
My friend went to hers which was also today and when I told her why I didn't go she got short with me like he does when I piss her off and she doesn't want to hear what I have to say. I really don't want to work with my friend who is tired of seeing me all the time and her mom. That was one of the reasons I didn't want to work there...and I've already made my impression on BK and I don't want to leave for a place that's just down the street where I'd be doing the same crap I do every day at BK.
I'd feel more comfortable working at BK a little longer until I find a place I'm comfortable with that no one pushed me into going to.
Do you think I was wrong in rejecting Wendy's?
