Well it was a sucky day, but not due to customers. For those wondering, Plant Day is our "Open House" for the Greenhouse and we have full flats of flowers or veggies for $10 and hanging baskets for $10.
A week ago, the weather forecast was Sunny and a high of 72 degrees. Friday it rained all day and got colder as the day went on,....then we got a freeze warning. So all day Friday (in the freezing rain) I had to pull in everything that might freeze, set the heater back up, and get all the big rolling racks onto our patio. Saturday morning, (72 and sunny remember) it was 36 with a wind chill of 24 when I came into work.
Damn that Global Warming
But the hardcore gardeners still came out, we cleared out four racks, that's about 400 flats and at least 50 baskets, so the all was not all bad, but if it had been nice, we could have cleared all 9 carts and most of the greenhouse.
Of course the worst part, by the time we locked up, it was Sunny and 65 degrees.
