Those of you following my To hell with do more with less thread in MiM know I've been looking for a new job, but have been holding it pretty tight to my chest.
I've actually been looking since last September. It took me awhile to find the right job, but I finally found it, interviewed last month, and got the contingent offer today. I accepted it.
I still have to go through a background check but that should be no problem since I went through one last summer to get my nursing license. I'm moving to Cincinnati.
So much to do! Got to find a new place to live, move, try to leave my current place ready to rent out, start a new job, end an old one. Leave old friends, reconnect with friends in Columbus, and make new ones in my new place.
I hate moving, but it will be well worth it. This job is a step up: tenure track, many more opportunities for professional development. This job is a career changer for me. I'll finally be able to go back to school and get the advanced education I've been wanting. And I'll have opportunities later to move up to a big university and teach at the university level.
So this is all very exciting and very overwhelming at the same time.
