There was the one guy at the swamp who got busted for shoplifting, and on his way out announced he was gay and us truck unloaders had been harassing him about it.
OK, I'll bite: Even if true, what does that have to do with his stealing?

Which was a total lie, and management knew it. We didn't even know he was gay. But we still got a talking-to about it.
Not in my last workplace (that I'm aware of) but back in the day, when I worked on that weekly paper ...
Guy's wife informs him (while he is visiting family overseas) that she's leaving him. Yeah, he was a twit, but seriously? (This was B4E -- Before Electronics -- so it was probably via a phone call, as opposed to texting or email.) He proceeded to go off the deep end. First he informs some of us that he's getting spirit messages from God through songs on the radio, then he starts going around getting "frisky" with some of the younger women, including one in his own department. One of the other women in editorial complained (to me) that he would come up behind her and give her a kiss on the back of the neck (not just once, either).
I asked why she didn't report him.
She insisted she was giving him an "angry glare" every time he did it.
We went round and round with this numerous times.
I finally got annoyed and pointed out that apparently he was interpreting her "angry glare" as a sign of repressed passion or something BECAUSE IT WASN'T DETERRING HIM.
Later found out that the woman in his department finally had enough and reported him. Management didn't do nearly enough (IIRC they moved him to another newspaper) but I supposed that was at least marginally better than doing nothing at all.
I just finished my sexual harassment training and let me tell you, never before have I been so informed on sexual, racial, and sexist slurs. I'm all caught up with what the cool kids are saying now! Although I don't think that was corporate's intention.
