ah well, all good things must come to an end I suppose. My contract comes to an end at the end of June and upper management will not renew it because there is a recruitment freeze on. The worst part of it is that it will leave my current department with only just enough people to fill its role so if anyone goes off ill or takes a holiday they will be unable to fulfill all their requirements. At least I might be able to get a better paid job outside the comfortable confines of education.

heh welcome to my world. My contract ends on June 29 and it's not being renewed (budget constraints). ON the plus side, I've had one interview for a kick-ass job (where my cousin works, but we'd be in different divisions altogether) and I've been papering the town with my resume.
