Today was my last day at the suckjob! *seat-dances*

Now I am free for the remainder of this month....ahhhhhhhhh bliss....although a good portion of that time will be spent preparing to move back to Illinois....

....where I will have to find another suckjob.

One out of two ain't bad, I guess...

Some tips on how to get a non-suck job that I've learned over the years.

1) Avoid fast-food type places and grocery stores. They have the worst pay-to-suck ratio of any jobs I've ever seen. The exception here are DELIVERY/CARY-OUT ONLY Pizza places, they rock .

2) Talk with the managers and crew casually before you even apply. If you don't like the vibe of the place, look elsewhere. This is also a good time to casually sound out the pay-scale so you don't go too high or too low on your 'Desired Pay' if they ask that question.

3) Try to find a place that interests you, especially if you decide to go into sales. If you like and believe in what you're doing or selling, you'll have a better time at work. For example, I could pimp the plans/specials like nobody's business at Blockbuster because they were actually GOOD DEALS, but I couldn't sell at my telemarketing job once I found out we were charging like 1000% what we paid for it.
