Yep, I took two urinalysis drug tests for my upcoming job. And they were both wrong. Not failed, but incorrect type of tests...
The first one I did on Friday. My [Staffing Company] recruiter gave me what he thought was the correct type of cup, and went to the clinic and did the test, no problem. But he called me on Tuesday and informed me that [My Future Boss] required a slightly different test. And I could just go to the [Staffing Company] branch office that is closer to my home and pick up the correct cup, then take it to the clinic that is also near my home.
Tuesday came along, and I told the receptionist that I needed this specific type of urine cup. So she gave me -a- cup, and me not knowing whether or not it was the correct one, headed on out to the clinic.
After signing in at the clinic and waiting about 20 minutes, the nurse takes one look at the form I brought and says "This isn't the right kind," with one of the assistants chiming in, "Should we do it anyway?"
They did let me submit a urine specimen in the cup I had, and it seemed like they were eventually able to to do the correct test required by MFB. Recruiter called today and let me know that MFB would probably just have me start next Monday....Fine and dandy, but if [Staffing Company] had given me the correct urine cup to begin with, I would have started my new job today!
No reason for me to fail either! Just caffeine, tiny trace of nicotine [roommate smokes] and happy vitamins in my system!
