THAT'S not very appetizing!

People at work are always having fundraiser food events, and flyers are often posted around the building. Only limited numbers of people have access to color printers. I mention this because there is going to be a fried chicken dinner fundraiser next week, and the particular picture they chose for a graphic is a photo of a fried chicken basket.

Printed out in black and white, this picture resembles nothing so much as an ultrasound photo of a baby.

Not exactly the most appetizing mental connection.

My boss is a photographer, so he can actually take decent photos of our burgers, but occasionally I go to some Chinese take-away and on the counter are pictures of General Tso's chicken photographed under nothing but the flash bulb, and nothing looks good under a flashbulb, especially food.

My boss prefers to just have me draw pictures of our burgers, though.

I used to get a catalog from a company that made meatless foods, and their catalogs would always be just a little "off" in the color printing, so that what was supposed to be an appetizing brown came out an off-putting shade of green.
