Right now it’s like a mass exudes. About half the staff is leaving either because of the working conditions or of the mangers. Listed below are some of the reasons to quit.
(1) Perpetual whining for people who have quit to come back or to come in on your days off. It’s rare not to be called.
(2) Training someone with a till your not allowed on.
(3) When trying to move around shifts so that I can get my extra training in for another line, the manger comes over and pitches a fit when I try and move someone else to a day shift. She says that they’re have been people here longer that deserve day shifts. Well thanks a lot, for the 3 weeks straight of closing. I’ve been there longer then some of the other people who have exclusively day shift.
(4) Expecting to know everything. Not a telepath.
(5) Starting to get singled out. Group of people standing around, guess who gets yelled at.
(6) Feeling like they hate me. One of the mangers shivering, so offered my jacket. She’s a mite little thing. Absolutely refused it and yells at me to find something to do.
(7) Paying the newbie’s a lot more money that the people who have worked here longer and without a pay raise. And who have consistently shown up for work AND completed their training.
(8) Not giving me any training shifts on the last line I don‘t know. It’s been over 6 months.
(9) Treat me like an equal. Not as a lobotomy patient.
(10) Rude, dumbass customers.
(11) Physical Ailments connected with the job. Mostly icky skin rashes.
(12) Working overtime without overtime pay!!
(13) Working more than 11 hours with only a 30 min break!
(14) Giving promotions to people who must count money and keep a good record of money but is consistently under in their till!! One supervisor shift they were missing $200!!
(15) Extreme favoritism. To the nth degree. You’d shake your head at how bad it is.
Also school is starting soon and I still need another $1000. Since I’m crossed trained on every line except one, a friend of mine says that I can write my ticket to any of the same restaurants as she is doing. She is getting paid almost as much as the mangers at this place, at the new job.
Reasons to stay.
(1) Where getting a high speed debt connection.
(2) Might be getting touch screen till.
(3) Like most of the people there.
(4) Am well trained in their policies and procedures.
(5) Most of the regulars are really nice.
Is it better to quit or stay?
