When I was a flight attendant, EVERYONE even the pursers took food and drink from the bar. Especially when the airline hadn't provided us with sufficient crew food and you had no change to buy the vastly overpriced passenger food.

Is it wrong that when I read this, I imagined a big bag of kibble with the words 'Crew Food' stenciled on it (And the word 'Purina' crossed out)?

Yeah, everything is styrofoam, except one size of the dishes at the salad bar, which is clear plastic (and recyclable, not that they fit through the hole in the recycling-can lid). And they have the insulated paper cafe-type cups (though not the same ones they use in the store cafes) for the Starbucks coffee and Tazo teas (which you can buy, or you can go right around the corner in the seating area and get free coffe and tea; Maxwell House and Lipton, but hey - FREE! Not that I drink coffee anyway and I keep my own teas in my desk). One my way to get lunch today I passed stacks of boxes of the foam coffee cups for the free coffee stations (there are 3 of those in the building) that had just come off a truck.

I've at least been saving my cup from the morning and reusing it at lunch...

LOL! Some of our crew food was ok actually, we had some yummy cooked breakfasts, pancakes, waffles and a few nice hot dinners. The sandwiches were pretty grim though

Our European bases had much nicer and very fresh food though.

The only thing I ever stole from work was a kickball. Don't ask why a kickball was laying around in a PARKING department building where you'd fine cones, trucks, and various things.

I've taken more than the "allowed" number of stripped books/magazines, but then so has most everyone else. Technically you're only supposed to get 5 a day. People walk out with shopping bags full.
