  • All alone.

Coworker #2 is on vacation and they couldn't find anyone to cover. That means I'm all alone. ><

Normally this is a two person shift. So what I rant about is only 50% of the stupidity......tonight it's 100%.

    Send help.

I picture something like a zombipocalypse film: You in the middle of a dim room, clutching a makeshift weapon in cautious hands. Suddenly, from the blackness, a phone rings. You stiffen and start shaking, staring with blind eyes into the shadows as another phone begins its clamor. Another rings, and another, blending into a cataclismic din as the darkness closes in and you squeeze shut your eyes in unbearable horror ----All noise stops as you jolt awake in your chair, in your office. You look around, pressing a hand to your pounding heart. All is normal, all is well. You exhale in relief and sink back, the screen fading to black.

From the blackness, a phone rings.

Oh dear Lord and Lady.... Even I got chills imagining that. (And I'm a mom who has seen all sorts of unspeakable horrors... usually in diapers...) Scary.
