Translucent? When was this started? I have one of their 2GB blue ones and it has an opaque foil-ish coating. I saw an article awhile ago on how to make a Lego flash drive (basically hollow out a Lego brick and slap the guts of one inside), so want to try that one of these days.

I have a floppy drive in my rig mainly for motherboard BIOS flashes; mine does have a Windows-based utility but I always found the concept a bit dodgy. I'm also sometimes tasked to do data recovery from floppies, so obviously need tools for that.

As for flash drives...too many to count. One with portable versions of FF/Thunderbird, one with DamnSmallLinux, and a raft of cheap ones with various diagnostic/AV tools to use as sacrificial goats when cleaning off virus-ridden machines (it gets infected, no big deal, cheap enough that I can add the cost to my fee). My dad often picks up smaller ones at trade shows and I get the ones he doesn't need
