I was reading on another forum about people leaving gift bags for people coming to their wedding and I have a question about tips.
I've only ever gotten gift bags when I've traveled on buisness trips and they were given out by the group leader not the front desk. I have occassionally left a present for my folks at the front desk, but it is only after asking if I can first, then going out to the car to get it and yes, I tip. I also make sure to deliver the item to the person who will be on shift when my folks arrive.
So the question is - is it a huge PITA to have a big box of gift bags and hand them out and what would the appropriate tip be for such a thing? I usually tip $5 for my one item - is that not enough?
