This isn't really a big deal. I'm a little confused, though, and I want to vent about it real quick.
When we're closed for a holiday, I make signs for the doors to warn customers. Pretty simple signs - 1/3 of a page, taped to the door. The latest one says "WE WILL CLOSE AT NOON ON FRIDAY, APRIL 7 FOR GOOD FRIDAY".
Normally, I post the signs just under a week before the holiday, so if we're closed (or closing early, in this case) on a Friday, I'll post the signs the Monday before. But this morning, the BM left me a post-it note on my desk asking me to put up the signs. Like he thought I might have forgotten or something.
I put up the signs about 9:30. By 11:00, someone had changed one of them. Let me set this up. We have "airlock" doors, like many office buildings. There's an inner door and an outer door. I always post the "we're going to be closed" signs on the outer door. On the front of the building, our ATM is in between those two doors. Even when we're closed, customers can get into the area with the ATM using their debit card (or any card with a magnetic strip). We might as well leave that outer door open all the time, but I guess management feels it's more secure this way.
Around 11:00, I noticed that there was a different sign on the front door. It was a full page, with big, highlighted letters "NOTICE" We will be closing at noon, etc. We are sorry for any inconvenience. And then they'd moved the sign I made to the inner door.
I don't know who changed it. If they didn't like how I did the signs, why didn't they say something? Do they want to do them from now on? Because I don't really care. It's just weird and annoying.
There. Now I've vented. I can forget about it and go on with my day.
