  • Well, that was unexpected...ok, maybe not.

Definitely didn't have this on my retail bingo card.

Thanks to a customer, I learned how to swear in Swedish.

I was reading through the online-pickup feedbacks from the past week, and came across an interesting one from one of the more affluent-area stores. A lot of this customer's rant I agreed with; prices, corporate dumbshittery, management, etc. Nothing to do with the workers, but everything to do with calling out management (I've been seeing a lot of that recently; unfortunately the store still gets dinged as if we did something wrong)

At the end of her screed were three words: "din jävla rovhal"

Good thing I waited until I'd actually left work before deciding to look the phrase up. GTranslate fell over a bit (I didn't use the accent marks when inputting) so came up with something slightly off/nonsensical, but other tools gave me "you fucking asshole"...going by context, that's the most likely translation.

Not sure why they chose to curse in Swedish...maybe so whatever 'content filters' Netpromoter uses wouldn't flag it? (I've seen feedbacks where half the comment is redacted, typically someone satisfied with the employees but letting upper management/corporate have it)
"I am quite confident that I do exist."
"Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense. You're just not keeping up." The Doctor
