This is not going under "Sucky Customers" because it wasn't the customer herself who was sucky.
I'm a grocery store cashier.
Customer came in today with a HUGE order for an Uber. delivery We're talking $300+ in food and stuff.
She needed to pay with her phone, because she said Uber had never given her a card.
Our machines don't accept tap over $250 (stupid, I know, with today's prices).
She tried texting to let them know what the problem was.
Their response?
"Pay for it yourself and we'll reimburse you."
Yeah, no.
She had been talking to a supervisor, trying to solve the problem, and when that came through, she just apologized and left.
I wonder if Uber gives a heads-up to customers that their order is being processed and if so ... they must've had fun trying to backpedal on that.
