  • Christmas Stationery? Buh ... what?

Phone have been ringing off the hook since December 1 (it seems). People are looking for Wii's, Playstations, XBox's, electronic gaming, Killer Bunnies, Cities in Catan, Vampires in Rome, etc.

And then we had a special snowflake today call. I answered normal spiel:

"Thank you for calling <name of town> Gaming Store, this is IDrinkaRum, how may I help you?"

Guy on the other end is very polite and asks if we have any Christmas Stationery for Christmas notes.

I ... had to pause. I had to also bite my lip and my tongue. I told him that we didn't and then he asked where he could get some.

I suggested the local Hallmark Store, Wal-Mart or even Target.

I have no clue if that was a prank call or not.

Like your new avatar! "Skinny Girls are for Wimps", amen to that!

Staples and OfficeMax also have some holiday stationery. Basically, any stationery store should have some. Why he called a gaming store, I couldn't tell you.

I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

Thanks XCashier! As soon as I saw the avatar at an LJ, I knew I had to gank it. Let's just say, my hubby isn't a wimp.

I completely forgot about Office Depot & Staples. I was just in a state of shock that someone would call a game store for stationery. Oy vey. Just thinking about it again maes my head hurt.
