    *hug!*

    Congrats on your month-plus!

And ... there's nothing like that feeling... of feeling alone, trapped in the darkess of our own making, helpess... only to suddenly realize that we were never alone, that friends and family were doing everything they could to show their love, and all we had to do was look up to see them.

Welcome back and congrats. I'm especially happy to see that you still have a job and that you're covered for a lot of your hospitalization. And you have awesome people around you.

Oh yeah, if anyone says "just quit" - I invite you to look up DT's on google. Alcohol withdrawal is one of the worst forms of w/d that exists and is one of only a few that can actually kill you. Scary stuff.

I'm glad you're back and doing better. So many people try to tough it out on their own, and it rarely works. There's no shame in asking for help when you need it. Good for you for realizing that and getting the assistance you needed.

Glad to see you back, and I hope things continue to improve.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

Bean, I was actually just thinking of you today! Will wonders never cease?

Wow. I'm proud of you. You've stood up, found a problem, asked for help and are following a treatment plan / project management if you will. Damn. Damn good job! And high five to your company for keeping you and the insurance.... wow.

Bean...you done good. Keep it up.

Didn't realize that there was a decent population of recovered/recovering alcoholics in my store until today - dropped in to grab my schedule for next week and to get some food. A couple of coworkers told me they were in AA and to let them know if I need any help. Plenty of other people told me they can't wait for me to come back to work.

The good news: I'm no longer on overnights, and I'm not floating between departments - I'm working grocery 5 days a week.

The bad news: I'm now part of the first wave of the grocery opening shift - 4:00 am. No more Adult Swim until I invest in a DVR.

More good news: The AA group I'm attending has meetings throughout the day 7 days a week, starting at 8am and the last meeting starts at 11pm, so I won't have a problem hitting a meeting no matter what kind of schedule work throws at me.

Well, you seem to have a plan in mind, and the determination to do something about your current situation. I wish you luck, strength, and patience with yourself Been there, many many years ago - and I'm living proof that you can do it. *hug*

I'm just gonna keep sending you good thoughts! I don't think I'd have the strength to go through what you did. So, to me, you're a hero. Take it as a compliment please? I've seen people collapse and never recover because they take the victim route. This is why I say you're a hero. You're over coming. Hell even if you have a set back, you're on the right path. Never give up okies?

We're all pulling for you, remember this if you have a dark day/hour/minute/second. And if you need extra prayers/energy/what ever you believe in, just ask and I'll send some extra out to you okies???
