  • Another one leaves the nest...

    *sigh*

Yet another trainee leaves my nest. And DipShit stays where he is. This is...the.....ok let me think........5th or 6th trainee that was hired after DipShit to be all trained in and let on their own.

I'm starting training next week with someone who has already been around for a while. She's going to be trained in very quickly, I'm sure of it. DipShit is going to remain where he is, unless my boss grows a pair and keeps his promise and gets rid of him.

Sometimes I feel so accomplished and proud when trainees are done with me. Other times, I feel like a parent of a child who is headed off to college. But nevertheless, every passing night with DipShit, I just get stressed out and angry.

    There, there, blas

Have you tried this stress reduction exercise (1st seen on a therapist's door, now found on the internet):

Sit quietly and inhale deeply and slowly through your nose.
    Exhale slowly.
    Picture yourself near a stream.
Birds are softly chirping in the crisp cool mountain air.
    Nothing can bother you here.
No one knows this secret place.
The soothing sound of a gentle waterfall fills the air with a cascade of serenity.
    The water is clear.
    You breathe deeply.
You can easily make out the face of the person whose head you're holding under the water.

It's the person who caused you all this stress in the first place.
    What a pleasant surprise.
You let them up... just for a quick breath ... then back under they go.
You allow yourself to take as many deep breaths as you want.

    There now ... Feeling better?

I'm sorry, the person to whom you were speaking has been replaced by a recording. Please leave your message at the sound of the beep.
