So about a year and a half ago, corporate demanded that we paint our breakroom right in the middle of November when we're slammed with freight and could be doing more productive things. We only had a couple cans of paint and had to do the job fast because we only got one night to get it done.
Now, corporate is shelling out money for professional painters to come in and paint the office area, the breakroom, and the stairway to those areas. Today there were in punching holes into the drywall so they could patch them and have an even surface to paint, moving furniture and masking off areas that aren't supposed to be painted.
Granted, this was way overdue. The offices and the stairway are absolute filth pits that haven't been painted or scrubbed in at least 15 years, but once again it makes me wonder why we had to do that when they'd just have professionals come in to redo it anyhow.
