    Imprl59 has a good point.

    If you work in an "at will" state, they can fire you for any reason (that isn't prohibited) or no reason at all.

    So, yeah, just because they can't fire you for sharing wage information doesn't mean they can't come up with a bullshit reason, or just decide that "you weren't the right fit for the job" and let you go for no real reason. And the documentation to prove a wrongful termination would be nearly impossible to come up with if they had half a brain.

    So, even though it may not be disallowable, it could still be a bad idea. I don't actually share my wage info, either. I have seen the payrates for the company because I've helped with the accounting department, but it didn't even occur to me to look at the info, even though I'm curious about it.
