  • Great, now I'm gonna have to find a new job... or at least a second one.

Ok, so this week my manager had to cut a few of my hours because I was going into Overtime and they don't want to pay that much OT.

    Ok fine, no problem.

Well, today i get in and check to see what's changed, and it's not too bad. They just took 2 hours off of my Friday shift.

Well I didn't look at next week's schedule at the time. Then my coworker asks

CW: "Are you going on vacation next week?"
    Me: "No, why?"
CW: "You didn't look at the schedule for next week? Go look!"

I go and check it... and I'm only scheduled for TWO DAYS! I'm working Saturday and Friday (our work week starts on Saturday)... that's it, I have Sunday - Thursday off. 5 days off IN A ROW... what the fuck!
I'm looking AT MOST 20 hours (It'll prob ably be closer to 17 or 18)... and I'm suppose to be FULL TIME. I can't even pay for GAS on 20 hours.

So tomorrow I'm going in and having a talk with my manager... and she BETTER schedule me for 40 hours next week. If not, I might just quit on the spot (Depending on what her response is). I NEED more hours... this shit ain't gonna fly.

BTW, anyone in the Boca Raton area hiring?

Seriously, anything between coconut creek and Boyton Beach is fine!
I might even consider Ft Lauderdale doable, depending on the job.

I'm really good at computers too!

if you were hired as full time (or even getting full time hours) some states view drop in hours as constructive unemployement. check your local unemployment office.
