Survived the layoffs!

So there was a major round of layoffs at my work these past two weeks. We lost at least 4 people, that I know of, and in an office of 20, that's a lot.

But I found out today that I didn't get laid off! Yay!

Granted, a lot of that is because no-one in my office can write with decent grammar and energy, and we have a TON of writing every week.

But I still feel better knowing for sure.

OH YEAH. Especially since the chances of me getting another writing job are almost nil. I rock at copywriting, but I have no writing degree nor any official training, so until I build up a couple years' experience, I've got to hang on to this job!

She's the CEO, so...yeah. but in all fairness, she is really good at certain, more pr-oriented parts of her job. And they did keep my supervisor, who will mostly be the one dealing with her now.

My poor sup...she's new. And when she started, the office was quiet because everyone was gone to convention...So she got slammed with EVERYTHING all at once, in a time of crisis. She's a little shell-shocked. But she's still cool.
