I have about 9600 co workers. My department however has 20 guys, including me.

I think with 9600 people, and as large as the place is, exceptions could be made. hehe. Hmm i wonder if it would count as a work romance if a student and I were to get together... Working at a university, is definitly interesting

Well, technically not through work, since we didn't work together, but he was one of my regular Thursday night customers, and he was always really nice.

Then, after he finished college and was working as a chef at a restaurant, my brother's girlfriend was apprenticing under him, thought he and I would make a great pair, and did some matchmaking. I didn't know who her 'boss' was, until one day I saw a picture of the gang from her work, and "Thursday Night Guy" was in the picture.

Next thing, he was suddenly dropping in to visit my brother and his gf while I was visiting, coincidentally. (He was being invited without my knowledge. )
      And the rest is history.

There are a hsuband and wife team who work at our store. They seem to manage it nicely.
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

Workplace romances may turn out good or bad, but they're always a great spectator sport.

I dated a guy while working at the movie theater. I swear over half the people who worked there were dating someone from the theater. That was the only time I've dated someone from work.

Met my husband at work back in college. We worked at the USD Dakota Dome in Vermillion. After awhile the boss made the only college students, my future DH, Theresa and me, the 'managers' of the the high school students. My FDH and I just sorta started seeing each other. Our boss was tickled pink about us seeing each other, don't really know why but whatever floats his boat.

We still work together. My brother and my DH are buying my Dad's business from him so they are technically my bosses but I'm also a corporate officer so I just call them those nut cases I work with.

I've had dated two different guys at the thrift store I used to work at.

I dated the first one for a year, but the man had so major momma boy issues (29, and his mom cut up his meat) so that didn't last.

Then I met my current boyfriend (well fiancee) not long after breaking up with ex. When we first met and started dating we were working the same shift, even worked the same jobs at time such as running the register. Soon I became manager for the night shift so we worked seperately but there was never an issue with one being in power over the other or working together.

We are getting married in 2008 so you can tell how good that's going :-)

met my dear darling at work, she was a suprvisor, I was a lowly agent, but had worked there before, I took a promotion to another department, then noticed she was at an agent's desk with an agent's name plate and shot her an e-mail asking why, things just kinda clicked.
we work in seperate departments, but still kept things relatively quiet at work, that led to our co-workers trying to follow our stares and figure out what we were smiling at, which always caused me to laugh, causing them to stare more

I met my husband working together in fast food when we were both 16. Started dating at 18, married when I was 20 and he was 21. We're both 25 now and still happy together, although I am glad to not be working with him any more because we used to fight over stupid work stuff all the time, haha. He's a good husband but a really annoying coworker.

I dated a guy I worked with once and almost dated another. When you spend that much time with someone, it's easy to find out how much you have in common and develop crushes. Neither worked out in the end but it was fun while it lasted and I have no remorse towards either. I actually wouldn't mind reconnecting with the one I almost dated. Anyway, I am currently dating a guy I met through my friends. Knew he was going to be the one (or at least the-one-for-a-while ) pretty much right after I met him. We have been together for over 2 years and are still going strong!

Oh! One I forgot to mention: my best friend met his ex-girlfriend while working together (that ended poorly...) and met his current girlfriend at work. Him and her have been dating for two and a half years, are engaged, and are happily living together.
