Policy on smart-arses?

My boss doesn't mind us being smart-arses if the customer's in the wrong. I realised today that around a third of complaints about smartarsery are about him!

Hehe, one of the reasons I love drunk people is that they usually can't catch me being a smartass, and they can't remember the conversation in the morning. I'd probably get in trouble if I got caught though

"That's too bad. Hospitals aren't fun to fight through."
"What IS fun to fight through?"
"Gardens. Electronics shops. Antique stores, but only if they're classy."
