Or........How Beloved Dumbass Syndrome may soon come to a halting end! In which, your beloved blas87 will dance around the entire production area in her mocassins and twirl around her hair and sing the Hallelujah chorus at max volume until her vocal chords no longer function.
I kind of stole the idea from Beloved Asshole Syndrome....because where I work, it's not the assholes who are loved and always forgiven (save for Chef Ramsey), but the most imcompetent, lazy dumbasses. Namely, Whiney Brat.
Whiney Brat has been doing this for months. Her latest stint has been pretending she doesn't know how to troubleshoot the machines or do the most simple of tasks, because for a while the shift leads would get so sick of her whining they'd either do it for her or take it off her machine and give it to someone else (usually ME!).
Every year, every operator has to be re-tested in every area they are certified in. Sounds typical, right? Well, Whiney Brat (I believe she purposely did this) failed one of her tests. The test which the first time she took when I trained her, she got 100%. The shift leads told one of the trainers (the one who replaced me when I demoted myself) to work with her on it. She barked "Well who the hell trained her before?"....oh, thanks a lot. Yep, totally my fault.
Then she took her test again, and failed AGAIN. Dylan got her results and walked up to me and said "Trust me blas, no one is going to blame you. If she really is faking, it's really going to hurt her now."
Why you'd want to keep failing is beyond me. I don't think she wants attention per se, I think she actually thinks people will always do the hard parts of her work FOR her if she whines and proves she can't do it.
Lately, we've been picking up and getting busy, and we just don't have time to babysit. The shift leads don't have time to do her work for her. Dylan has other trainees to help...he can't devote every second to setting her machine up for her. The other trainer can't spend all night with her either.
Alas, something will have to go down soon........Mentor confided in me that Whiney Brat was given a talking to about her laziness and her lack of production...for about a week she put more effort in, but soon enough after, she started screwing off again and being lazy.....
Pray for me that everything will come together and we will soon be rid of Beloved Dumbass Syndrome!
