Mine's an old-fashioned sounding phone simply because it appeals to me the most.
As for annoying ringtones, I haven't heard any personally, but awhile back, I read about something called 'RingMoans', which are basically sounds from porno films. Sure, they may just sound crude, but imagine one of these going off in church or while visiting an elderly relative...
As for interesting ringtones, I've haeard one that sounded like a rooster crowing, and another that played 'Godzilla' by Blue Oyster Cult

Quoth Evil Queen View PostI hate the ones to the tune of "Draddle" Because every-single-time I hear it I wind up thinking:
Draddle, draddle, draddle,
I made you out of Clay,
But I won't fucking play with you,
'Coz Draddle's fucking gay.
Blame The SO. -_-'
Sorry about the off-topic..."Kill the fat guy first?! That's racist!" - my friend Ironside at a Belegarth practice after being "killed" first.

Here's a really annoying ringtone: The horn song from the General Lee.
What's worse, the woman whose cell phone this was coming from:- was standing right behind me.
- had the volume turned up about as loud as it could go.
- chose not to answer the phone but just let it keep going without acknowledgment.

Quoth TravisRB69 View PostMy most annoying ringtone is all those idiots out there who have their cellphone programmed to sound like the ring of an "old" phone.
Woohoo! It's ironic because it's old sounds on new technology! Isn't that hilarious????
Quoth Chromatix View PostCall me insane, but I actualy like to have my phone sound like, y'know, a phone when it rings. Not necessarily an old phone, but something recognisable as a phone.
I have had other ringtones, and I just don't recognize that they are my phone ringing. At least when I hear the jingle of the phone ringing, I know it's a phone, and answer it.
Yep, I don't use my cell phone all that much.you are = you're. not "your".

Hey, I've got Benny Hill theme as an mp3 (I think it's at least 192 kbps rate) here with me so if you wish I could send it to you via some IM or email. PM me if you still need it
And then for the annoying ringtones: the "traditional" Nokia ringtone, called The Säkkijärvi polka. It used to be the most popular ringtone in the reeeeeeally old-fashioned Nokias. Schnappi in any form will also set my teeth on edge, so I think it qualifies too.A man can be stupid and not know it, but not if he is married.

The daytime manager where I work has the George of the Jungle yell/boom as his ringtone, and for texts it plays the Inspector Gadget theme.

My oldest son has a ringtone that is absolutely hilarious the first time you hear it...
It's just a weird sounding voice that starts out saying, "ring ring". The longer you let it go the louder and more psycho the voice gets until you have, "RINGRINGRINGRI-AAAAAAAAGGGGGGGG!!!! AAAAAACCGGGGG!! RING!""I don't want any part of your crazy cult! I'm already a member of the public library and that's good enough for me, thanks!"

All the "default" ringtones suck. No doubt about it. Most annoying is anything out of a Nextel phone. The chirps, beeps and alerts are all annoying.
I have "Ooh La La" by the Wiseguys for my regular ringtone, the "Magnum PI" theme for the g/f (huge Tom Selleck fan), "Firestarter" for my buddy Dan, who's another firefighter like me, and "Time Warp" for another friend that's a huge Rocky Horror fan. In "Phone Only" (no text/email tones), I have the old Monday Night Football theme.

All the polyphonic "jingle orchestra"/[crappy "hip hop"-ish name]-type default ones need to Go Away. Hell, I'd be ecstatic if the contract/phone price included a trial of a ringtone-maker program. I'm sure people have more than enough music to use...then again, we'd have to listen to songs/sounds that never should have been released, much less made into ringtones."I am quite confident that I do exist."

Have to say that I'm a little tired of "Ride of the Valkyrie".
The one I'm using right now earns me many a dirty look. It's the New Mexico State University fight song. And I live in Albuquerque, home of the University of New Mexico....NMSU's blood rival. We HATE each other.
One of my other one's is "What's the Rumpus" by Gaelic Storm.
I've been trying to find "Carmina Burana" by Orff.
Quoth wagegoth View PostAt one time a phone I had was set to Scotland the Brave, but then I heard someone else's phone playing that, so I changed it.
Quoth cinema guy View PostRing tones always murder the music they are supposed to play.
Quoth tendomentisMonarch of the Glen theme song for when someone calls me from my family's house.
