crazy relatives insisting that weddings happen...I don't think it used to be like that...
Arranged marriages, shotgun weddings, and the like have been around a loooooooooong time. I'm sure Bridezilla behaviour was too. And while not as much money was spent on them, I'm just as sure similar amounts of spare time were devoted to planning and preparing. People don't ever really change. They just come up with new ways of doing the same old stuff.
I'm a 32 year old guy who has never been married and has no children. I get it too. But more from guys than women. The women think it's great usually and I end up getting a high five.

And I waited until I was 39. If we hadn't really clicked, I still wouldn't have. Helped a lot that my best friend was gay though - as long as people think they can pigeon hole you, it seems to settle them down. I think a lot of it also stems from jealousy. People think of 'single' as a devil-may-care existence, but it's just life. I've been pretty darn happy both ways.
It is kind of a devil may care attitude. I've been asked 3 times, thats right they asked me, and I only said yes once. Never went through with it. Her choice and probably a good one. I'm a gypsy at heart. I have settled down but I have settled down into a life of constant travel. Its what I did for the last 16 years minus the two I've been where I am now. I find a goof woman who wants to go with me and then I'll think about it.
