What a great way to save monet (not)

We have a project coming up where we install some equipment in each store.

They want to save money with this project so guess what? They're having us OVERNIGHT the empty boxes back to corporate.

The boxes aren't anything special - regular corrugated cardboard, roughly 6" X 8" X 12" (about), no special packaging etc..

Wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy more boxes as opposed to even sending them back via UPS ground?? (I doubt the boxes cost $3-$4 each).

I pouched (send interoffice mail) a CD to another office in a mailer box. I attached a note asking that the recipient not toss the box out but reuse it, as they cost $1 each. So he pouched it back. Pouching is not free, idiot.

I've worked at a place that overnighted wax paper cups - a SLEEVE of them, not a case. But at least that was from corporate to a franchisee. (Seriously, cups? We've had the technology for a few years, I'm guessing they are WIDELY available.)
