The other day, a guy passed through the registers and tossed a photocopy of a newspaper blurb on the counter.
"I did that." he said, before leaving.
It was a postcard sized piece of paper on which was a photocopy of a very short blurb, with a handwritten "1974" on the side, about a raid on a marijuana growing operation. What was noteworthy was the stated size of the plants: more than three stories tall and several inches thick at the stalk.
