  • Sometimes my job depresses the hell out of me

I love my job and the work we do here but some stories are just so sad to know.
I had received a donation today in memory of 2 people. Usually the donations are made separately for each person. I was curious about so i did a Google search for both names. It turned out they were 2 friends, ages 11 and 12. They died together during a sleepover at one of the girls houses when the mother of one of them left her SUV running in the garage with the door closed because she couldn't turn the engine off and just left it on and went to bed.
Such a senseless and tragic thing to happen and my heart goes out to the family and friends of those girls.

Why in the world couldn't she turn it off?? Did she have an IQ of 5?

Ah-wuh? Is it really so hard to turn a key?

And then to leave the vehicle running in a confined space?

It's incredibly sad these two girls had to die, but the mother is a stupidiot of epic proportions.

Awww. That reminds me of the ending of The Boy in the Blue Striped Pajamas.

That is just...UUUUUUGGGGGHHHHHH! I would have ripped that mother into pieces if I had a child who died because of that stupidity.

All she had to do was open the damn garage door...*sigh*...you're right, those are completely senseless deaths. I'm not going to get even slightly angry at the "culprit" here, either: She just accidentally killed her daughter. No punishment could touch the grief and guilt she's gotta be going through.

sadly, mothers will do that to their daughters (or sons) on purpose....there are some sick people out there like that that dont deserve children. let's hope she's learned her 'accidental' lesson and never does it again.
