Unusual Scratch Card Pin

Yesterday, my service desk coworker got a customer with a scratch off card and she couldn't find the 3 digit pin on there. She passed the card to me and I couldn't find it either. I used the scanner on the lottery machine to scan the card. It turned out that the card had a 12 digit pin.

Or just odd that it had a PIN like that?

That's the first time I've ever seen a scratch off card with a 12 digit pin. Usually the pin numbers on scratch offs that I've seen have 3 digits.

AH, OK. I thought that mihgt have been a sign of a large winner or something. I've seen them before and you used to be able to tell if you won or not just by looking at them (just scratch off where the codes were).
