    Christmas parties

    I was half-assed thrown the job of planning some sort of xmas party this year for our staff. The best time to do it will be xmas eve, since we close early, that way if you want to come, you can. Without having to worry about working.
    I have no clue where to even start. I was given a 200$ budget. Anyone have any ideas for me?
    Things just get so crazy living life gets hard to do. I would gladly hit the road, get up and go if I knew,that someday it would bring me back to you.

    $200 won't buy much booze so go for the cheap stuff.

      That would be a great idea, but we have 4-5 underage people coming.

          Get some cheap decorations for the 'holiday' feel, and spend the rest on munchies and soda. You should be able to turn out a respectable spread for that price, even with tinsel streamers tossed around.

              Exactly! That way if the minors get into anything they shouldn't *cough*booze*cough* you can honestly say you had nutin' ta do wit' it. Besides, I suspect saint's bosses would get their knickers in a twist about alcohol being consumed on-site even outside of business hours.

                You can get some dollar store prizes for silly games, too, if'n y'all are into that.

                  My SCA household throws a lot of parties. They are all BYOB, and some are potluck. If you drink, you give up your keys.

                  Our parties always rock, and we never run into the problem of being liable for people drinking too much and then trying to drive.

                  We spend our money on snacks and non-alchoholic drinks.

                  Make no mistake, our parties tend to be boozy affairs, but not because WE are buying the stuff.

                    I meant to suggest Sam's Club. Did a pretty fair one on a hundred bucks with the help of a Sam's card. Got a case of coolers and some champaign (it was birthday party on New Year's Eve, so we got a little booze that time. I am fortunate that my friends are not big beer drinkers.)
