Show me a pic and I'll see what I can do.

I seriously love drafting patterns. I think I might be going insane.

New dragon that I just finished, the Autumn dragon.

I'm not sure if I'll sell or just display to advertise commissions. Hopefully I'll get another one done by Saturday, but I don't know, these guys are a lot of work.

So cool!!! If I had money, I would totally be buying him right now.

Make sure you don't go too low on the labor intensive guys. You deserve to be compensated for your work.

I absolutely love the dragons and they would make a perfect Christmas present for my brother (he is totally dragon-fanboy). Would you be available to take another commission in October?

              CRAFT SHOW IS TOMORROW WAAAAAUUUGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm finishing the only unicorn I have to sell....maybe I'll get another big whale done...I wish I wasn't sick yesterday, I would have more ready if I hadn't been.
Hubby is helping at the show though, which is amazing. I'm so glad he's doing this, because I would have a panic attack otherwise.

Don't worry. You'll do just fine.

I always have somewhat of a minor panic attack the night before each show too, but seeing all the people ooh and ahh over my stuff calms me down a bit.

Just make a checklist of what needs to get done, and then relax.

You're sharing the booth with friends, right? So at least if you get SC's you can laugh and joke about it.

And then later post here and tell us all about it so we can laugh at the morons too.

                      Thanks
Yeah, if there's anyone misbehaving, you'll be sure to read about it
My mum said one good thing about it being just a small local craft show, if someone tries to "buy without paying" (she has too much faith in humanity to think they'd steal) then I can tell them off without being in too much trouble. Plus, my friends and I plan on having a ball whether or not people buy from us.

Craft show yesterday was alright. It rained all day and the church didn't even have the sign lit so almost everyone was lost. My friend ended up calling me with the "ok, I know I passed the church, please give me directions."
She bought the canopy to keep us kind of dry, but it wasn't waterproof so it sprinkled inside, and we had to put up blankets all around to keep the windy rain out.
I sold one thing, but I had about $25 in trades, so I still had fun. Plus, hubby bought me a dino blanket and this sweet copper ring.
Most of the people that did show up didn't bring money
I think they were from the family reunion next door?

My last selling event got rained on too, it sucks. :P Way fewer people out in the rain, so less business, AND you get all wet! My umbrella is just barely big enough to cover my table, but not big enough to cover my chair too, so I get soaked. I'm trying to get a proper canopy but holy COW they're expensive!

Glad you had fun though. Some weeks I swear that's the only reason I turn up for the local market here, all my real money comes off the internet, the local thing is mostly worth doing because it's fun.

The holidays are coming up. No idea what goes on in your neighbourhood, but THIS is the sort of thing you might want to look into. Check around for any big fairs at central venues and see if you can get space for a booth. People buying presents and holiday decor go a little bit insane at a good big fair (I was afraid I'd have to put a leash on my MIL the year she dragged me along).

You could raise your prices, and get lots of exposure. Indoor venues are a LOT better to sell at, too.

On a personal note, if you ever get adventurous and want something new to try, you could always make me a Cthulu doll. I've been wanting one for ages and I really like your style. Just a suggestion, though.

Oh, I'm up for making almost anything. I have a couple crocheted cthulu dolls from a while ago, and I'm thinking of trying to sew one.
I'm getting a booth at my church's craft fair as well, and I'm still trying to convince hubby to let me have an etsy shop. For now I'm doing email commissions, and when these next few are done, he'll probably let me do etsy.

I'm glad to hear you had fun. That's the main reason why I go to shows as well as sell on etsy.

I do several little church shows as well as the uber-awesome-huge-show, and I love the atmosphere at both. The big shows are more of a "look at everything, see something I like, buy it and gtfo." small church shows people want to talk, you kinda get to know people more, which is great. All of the small shows I do are within a mile or 2 of my house, which also means I get to meet my neighbors as well.

Not so many SC's at smaller shows I've found. This year when I do uber-awesome-huge-show I'm keeping a notebook to write everything down, cause sometimes I get some doozies.
