Ok, so this is a bit on the underhanded side, but it works -

IF you have any Vacation time or PTO schedule it for the 2 weeks prior to Dec. 1, then the day you start vacation, send an email stating you're putting in your 2 weeks notice, you last day will be Dec. 1

you do this so that you've CYA'ed and you get 2 weeks paid vaca, that you can use to relax and release stress from the previous job, before going on to the new responsibilities at the other job
I am well versed in the "gentle" art of verbal self-defense

Once is an accident; Twice is coincidence; Thrice is a pattern.

The places I worked at, giving two weeks was a courtesy to them to find a suitable replacement as I didn‘t need to give that much notice to say I was getting the hell out of there in the nicest way possible. I could’ve walked out at any time before, during, or after my shift and say, “I’m quitting, bye!” and not look back. It’s happened before with former co-workers, they’ve told management they’ve quit and walked out, all without giving two weeks -- and a few of these people otherwise were great to work with, other then them quitting like that.

I don’t know how your company works or if you have to give two weeks, but from my experiences you really don’t have to. It’s just a nicety to do, I guess.
Eh, one day I'll have something useful here. Until then, have a cookie or two.

Also, 60 hour work weeks means $$$$. >_> Money is good, right?
        Right?
Money is good, but I'd like to see my family once in a while. And taking on extra stuff at job #1 would make up almost all that money with almost no extra hours. The funny thing is that my grocery job thinks that its the only job I have and wonders why I don't like working extra hours there.

I already used up all of my vacation time, sick time, personal time, personal holidays, etc... I'm ready! Thanks for all the advice. Hopefully I will have time for more posting next year!
