Little Boy Upset with Father

Yesterday, a man was at the self checkouts with a little boy who was having a fit. He wanted something that his father wouldn't let him have right then. One of the things the little boy told his father was that he didn't love him anymore. The father didn't give in at all.

My mom's favorite reply to that.

"Oh well. I don't buy things for people who don't love me."

Good for dad.

And that little boy doesn't know it yet, but in about 20 years he is going to thank his father for having standards.
