Hey guys,
For those who don't know, I was working at a horrible call center for 3 months, doing directory assistance - mostly for people who would hurl abuse at me for no reason.
I cried at work on more than one ocassion because of mean customers, and would wake up on Monday mornings just dreading going to work. We were taking a new call every 20 seconds, non-stop, and I was constantly getting headaches because of it.
Well the day finally came when I decided that I had had enough of dealing with their crap, and I rang them to say I wouldn't be coming in to work - ever. They asked me to come in just to hand in my stuff, like keys and the headset, which I did. And after handing in my stuff, I was all ready to walk out, never to return again, when they asked if I wanted to do an 'exit interview'
"Um...what's that?" I asked, intrigued at the word 'exit' as it suggests not coming back ever.
"It's just a few questions we have for people who leave us, so we can try and improve for the future. You don't have to do it if you don't want to."
Hmmm, a chance for me to say EXACTLY what I thought of them and why I was leaving? SWEET!
"Yea sure, i'll do that." I said.
So I then proceeded to tell them all the reasons why I was leaving. I believe I used the word 'shit' a few times, and I told them it was stupid that I got in trouble for having a personality (I liked to chat to people on the phone, which got a positive reaction from the people ringing in, but not the managers!). I rambled on for a while, and the girl wrote alot of it down. Then I said thankyou and got up and left.
*big sigh of relief*
So anyway, that was a week ago. I applied for another job and was accepted. I start on the 29th of January. I will be working at a warehouse that makes spas and pools. I get my own office cause I will be in charge of ordering spas from overseas, and sorting out payments and schedules, and all kinds of stuff.
It's a full time job with good pay - my first full time and first office job.
How exciting hey
