We're leaning towards the first. He had no way of knowing they were personal and not store machines (the store machine is also a Mac), and it appears to be a crime of opportunity.

Actually, they can get at your files. However, if you use dropbox, you can disable a specific machine from accessing your dropbox account by using their web interface. It's pretty easy, too. Go to the account link, go to "My Computers", and remove the machine.Quoth Raveni View Post* And by account, I mean your windows account. Once someone physically has your computer, they can easily get into your dropbox if the program is installed on it.
Won't stop them from getting at any files, but it *will* stop them from doing damage to other computers that use dropbox.
