Hmm, I wonder if that's what the last really horrible one I had was.
Could well be - those are perfect conditions for either sinus or weather-triggered migraines. There's actually some research showing that people can start off with sinus irritation/pressure, and then that triggers a true migraine. So then you're doubly screwed!

I believe you on the weather, you just described spring in Calgary. Ooof.

      3. Migraine - since my migraines have two specific triggers, falling barometric pressure...
And here you have why I DESPISE Hurricane Season- other than the obvious.

When the bad tropical storms and hurricanes are in the Gulf I feel like stabbing myself in the forehead because that just might feel better than the Migrane.
When we had that really bad season a couple of years ago I thought I was going to die from the headaches- they lasted for days to a week at a time.

I had a migraine last night. (I've been staying up too late watching The Daily Show.) I was messing around here, and the pain started behind my right eye and just got worse over a couple hours. I finally had to get off the computer when the nausea got too much. So I brushed my teeth (which can make me gag when I'm not feeling sick...) and went to bed. Slept straight through until my alarm went off. And that was after I had half a glass of soda to try to settle my stomach. I normally can't take caffeine at night.

I started getting them when I was 11. The first time had me in a restaurant with my family, with my head down on the table in tears. My mom had to take me home and put me to bed, then go back to get my brother and dad and eat her dinner. I used to get the nausea and light and sound sensitivity (especially high pitched noises - made me wince like someone was punching me in the face), and all I could do was go to sleep. The last few years I haven't gotten all that, just pain and sometimes nausea, and I can usually treat it with caffeine and tylenol or advil.

I have my dad to thank for this wonderful life experience...

          Migraine people:

I found a decent tack to try when the migraine fairy hits me.

Take a rub's worth of Tiger Balm and put it on center of forehead. I've tried it, it helps.

But theres times when my head starts pounding and I want to cry/hurl/die all at the same time.
Even worse, the Imitrex that WORKS I'm now allergic to.

The best thing I do when head STARTS hurting is:
          food
          Water
          Caffeine
          Ibuprofen

Then run a check in 2 hours: if head wont shut up, dark room and quiet.

Tiger Balm is also great for muscle relaxation and massage...smelly but worth it.

Tiger balm is my savior when I have a migraine. I get the tracers, sparklies, tunnel vision, I've been known to lose my hearing on the right side, I get EXTREMELY irritable before the pain hits, and after it hits, the slightest thing will send me bawling.

The absolute worst headache I've ever had though, was a cluster headache. I wanted to die. I hope I never have another one of those again.

Migraines, I get regularly. Like usually 1-2 a month. When I need new glasses, it's 2-3 per week. *sigh* (like now...)

I guess a have a strange sort of headache.

I work as a Game Master for [well known MMO] and the job is not very exhausting. Seriously, most of the day, I'm watching videos, playing tekken or reading a book. From 20 o'clock to midnight, there is usually some stuff to do, but nothing that would get you wrecked up. Since I'm not at the total basic level of GMhood anymore, I don't have to deal with the real whiney customers, so no headache during work. But as soon as I hit the road and enter fresh air, I get a terrible headache, which luckily lasts one to two minutes max.
