  • New Shirts

I've been making the announcement to family and friends and co-workers all morning, I figured I ought to let my favorite online community know: The Shirts family wardrobe has expanded again. After a surprisingly brief but intense labor, we welcomed Baby #2 into this crazy world at 2:23 in the morning.

My son (who I've been calling Little Shirts on this forum) will probably get to meet his baby sister later this afternoon.

I suspect that... inside every adult (sometimes not very far inside) is a bratty kid who wants everything his own way.

Or HawaiianOnesies. I could go either way.

How do I post pictures to this forum? I tried once, but it was a hassle, and I just ended up posting a link to somewhere else...

If the pics are up on Facebook, what I tend to do is bring up the picture up, then right-click on it until it says "copy image URL". I then click on it.

In the forum, I'll go to the "Insert image" button in the reply to thread section (don't use quick reply)-it looks like a sun rising over hills-then once you click on that, it'll ask for the URL. Simply paste it in and ta-dah!

Also by my suggestion of BabyShirts, I meant it as a nickname for your kidlet. Not sure that HawaiianOnesies would suit her as she gets older

Speaking of shirts, how did Little Shirts handle meeting his sibling?

He did rather well. He wanted to hold her right away, and he was very careful with her. He's been talking to her a bit, reminding Mrs. Shirts and me what the baby can and cannot do, and running to get things when we ask. I don't know how long it will last, but he seems very proud to be a big brother!

Oh, he's just noting what he is capable of that she is not.
When invited to go check the mail with me: "Yes! But the baby can't come. She can't check the mail yet."
At dinner: "The baby can't eat peas. Because she doesn't have any teeth yet. <pause> Dad, is the baby growing teeth right now?"
On the way to school: "I'm already old enough to go to school. The baby can't go to school. Just me."

                              Stuff like that.
