For my third essay in this particular English paper, I had to choose my own research subject, pose my own question, and then argue a stance, backed up with actual sources and evidence. So I chose "Marriage Vs. Civil Union: Why Separate Is Not Equal".
It's a subject that is particularly close to my heart, and so I did put a lot of effort into the essay, but I wrote it thinking that I just had to get a C or better to pass the paper.
I got an A.
I GOT AN A.
It's just so incredible to me that I got to write about something so potentially controversial, but so important to me, and I was validated academically into the bargain!
