Ok, I wasn't really sure where to put this (if it isnt, feel free to move it), but I thought you lot would like to hear the story of how I prevented an old woman from possibly poisoning herself.
Ok, this what while I was still working in a supermarket (2004-2005, this event took place around January 2005), and we had a special on spray cans of anti freeze (the stuff you use on your car window screens). Anyway, I was replacing some SEL's (the little tickets that tell you how much something is) and this old woman comes up to me holding a can of anti freeze that she had just taken out of the Dump Bin. She walks up to me and asks
"Is this stuff the stuff I use to defrost my freezer?"
I couldn't get the can away from her quick enough. I explained to her that the stuff in the can (if it got into her food) could be dangerous. I then explained to her the best way to defrost a freezer.
She then thanked me, gave me the can and carried on with her shopping.
I must admit, after this happened I had to return to the admin department while I regained my composure, because she made me giggle slightly.
