When it rains, it pours...

... So I've been out of employment since Xmas. Been looking here and there for jobs, but no dice... until yesterday.

Within an hour I had:

• a positive job interview
• my old job begging me to come back and help them with a temporary problem
• another prospective employer apologizing that they haven't done interviews yet, but I'm in the "interesting" pile of applications

... all with the same goal of me starting on May 1st.

So I'm gonna send them all a call on Monday telling them that they have 24 hours to give me an offer, and the best bid wins

Sometimes it feels great to feel so indispensable...

So, the interview sadly didn't result in a job (another applicant had more experience in the tasks), so I have agreed to help my old job out.

Luckily, my old CW "Ditz" which I didn't get along with is gone now, so I'll be able to work without fearing treading on eggshells. Plus, since it's only part-time, I'll be able to claim partial unemployment benefit + permission to leave Old Job without notice, if/when the other job is offered. Old Job is ok with this.
