  • Graduation

Last Saturday, I graduated with my PhD (in Physics), from a University where I have completed 5 of my 9 degrees (yeah, I get bored too easily). It was a very memorable day that I was able to share with my mum and aunt.

    On that day:

    - I was invited and had lunch with the University's Chancellor and a local member of Parliament.
    - I was publicly acknowledged for the research I have done (skin cancer research - self funded).
    - Several friends also graduated with various degrees!

I came back to the motel with over 50 messages on my phone from friends and family and over 200 emails and Facebook messages congratulating me.

Not bad for someone who could not read properly until 9 years old, could not write properly until 12 years old... was knocked back for 3 previous PhD projects.... and did the PhD while working full time.

As an added bonus, I got 7 articles published internationally and wrote 3 apps (self taught).

Nothing is impossible when you're not afraid to fail, and try again.
