OK, sort of opening a new service
.
Basically, I'm moving to NSW in a week
. So of course, me organising work over there was a priority.
Luckily, around this time, they've started putting up the list of schools that were looking for regular staff for the following term. Most schools will have 2-3 shifts up for grabs at a time (towards the start of term, the number of shifts will increase) so it's not uncommon for staff to divide their time between two schools.
This particular school had 10 shifts up for grabs (5 morning, 5 afternoon). So I rang and spoke to the head office staff. They said that it was a new service and then asked me for my records to confirm that yes, I could work in NSW. One VERY quick email later and I now have shifts.
This will likely be temporary, as they try and ascertain numbers there, but for the time being, I'll be working 7-9am, then 2:30-6pm.
