So I have been working telephone customer service for an online travel agency for about 3 1/2 years now, and I finally am moving up in the world. Decent work, love the Company... but the job itself was getting pretty frustrating.
Starting on Monday, I will no longer have to answer the same old questions from guests and hotels. Many of the complaints came from the person failing to read the description and terms, but it's "our fault".
Nope, I have been promoted to IT Helpdesk Technician!! So I will be helping my coworkers with their computer issues.
Not only is the work far more rewarding on a personal level, but it comes with a GINORMOUS pay increase to boot. (Funny story there, when they told me the pay I was thinking ANNUALIZED so I was initially disappointed... but then they told me it was PER HOUR and I almost fell off my chair.)
