    I has a job!

    I went back to the grocery store down the street from home; AwesomeManager is gone, but so are my nemeses and they've been desperate for people (I just wish ex-job had cut me loose far sooner). My onboarding is Monday!

    Yes, it's not exactly what I wanted, but it's a union shop (I can probably reactivate the 401K I still have) and I still have peeps there that know what I can do.

      It's a bit surreal--I left that job when the most recent one poached me (only to can me and I wind up back here).

      To me that says something about the companies' respective outlooks--ExJob responded to the pandemic by furloughing everyone they could (in my team's case breaking state law, but good luck fighting that) and screwing us in other ways. OldJob was falling all over themselves to get me in as quickly as they could (I do still have a reputation over there) and were shocked when I said that I didn't apply earlier because ExJob was stringing me along. This couldn't come at a better time.

            First day is tomorrow; I'll probably be running a register at first but maybe I'll be on SCO (which I actually enjoyed).

            I'm still doing the sale resets on Thursdays; they changed things around so it's no longer an overnight slog but the old tags must all be taken down first leaving only 4 hours to do the entire store (30 min per aisle, which will probably be doable seeing as I won't be overtired).
