  • Raise and Promotion Too!!

I am now a store manager at my mega tax chain!

My new office is further from home than the one where I worked before (9 miles vs. 3.5), a smaller volume (and expected to be with patriotic sounding tax place across the street and Green Square on the corner).

I will be paid $1 per hour more base pay but more hours and 1% of that store's prep fees if we hit our goal which is 3.5% percent more than last years actual returns for that store. That is in addition to 5% of the prep fees for returns I personally prepare. If I can get enough of my regulars to follow, that shouldn't be a problem as I did about a third of the goal last year.

The franchise owner (FO) agreed to my personnel demand which was no links, not even a six degree of Kevin Bacon connection to MTM from this post of mine: https://www.customerssuck.com/board/...pdate-of-sorts

In case your wondering, FO denied the innuendo that he retained MTM because she had dirt. FO also denied knowing about her shenanigans, but is still cleaning the mess. The problem is that only the victims can file complaints that the authorities will take seriously. FO settled with the bank which gave out the loans, that leaves customers--a lot of whom have changed their contact information making it difficult to get their statements. More details as I get them.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

(...Wait, whaddya mean "Karl is his first name" -- "Taxguy" would just sound weird as a last name)
