I started a new job (at a hotel. goodbye Dairy Smear!) back in September. Now, for some reason, we have been getting a lot more business for this time of year than they did in the past. I work nights, I'm tired, I'm cranky, and the people who are even newer than me make me want to

Anywhooooo.... I keep reading the post where everyone is complaining (rightfully) about working Christmas and how rude the customers are, and I've had my share. I just wanted to share the good news.
I WILL be working Christmas, voluntarily, for the customary holiday pay. Great with me, because I have bills to pay. The icing on that dry little cake......
The next day is my birthday. I WON'T be working that day, but I WILL be getting paid for it.

May not seem like much, but I'm going to get some well deserved sleep that day, and get paid to do it.
